In 2014, the Royal Canadian Mint added top-of-the-line security features to the coin, including radial lines in the background and a micro-laser engraved maple leaf privy mark on the reverse. These details are only visible under magnification, making the coin virtually impossible to counterfeit. Each 2025 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver and will arrive in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coin will be packaged in individual plastic flips, protective tubes of 25 coins, or monster boxes of 500 coins, depending on your preference. The obverse face displays an effigy of King Charles III for the 2nd time, opposed to previous years which featured the Susanna Blunt designed effigy of the Queen. The King is seen in left-profile relief, surrounded by the inscription "CHARLES III" and "5 DOLLARS 2024."On the reverse face, the sugar maple leaf, designed by Walter Ott in 1979. The five lobed leaf is often associated as the primary source of maple syrup, a beloved sweetener that is used in many traditional Canadian dishes. This design has been featured on every Canadian Maple Leaf coin since. The specifications of the coin are also included on the reverse.
