How to Install the NIKO Much like clothing or bedding, you may choose to wash the NIKO before the first use. This is optional, since the NIKO is free of harmful chemicals, such as flame retardants. After placing the NIKO on your car seat, pull the car seat’s safety straps through the slits in the back panel of the NIKO. Pull the buckle through the opening in the seat. If your car seat has integrated cup holders, open the snaps on the sides and open the cup holder openings so that they don’t block the holders.
